Biographical history
The Farmers' Union of Alberta, Podola Local No. 644 (originally the Alberta Farmers' Union, Podola Local No. 138) was established in Hilliard, Alberta before 1945. The organization worked to bring farmers concerns to the attention of the provincial government and also organized social events such as the "Pushcheney" for the community. For many years Frank Kozdrowski was secretary of the organization.

The fonds consists of minute books including membership lists and accounts (1945-1955); membership drives records (1952-1958); receipts and licences for Pushcheney and other social events (1951-1955); FUA constitution, bylaws, programs and handbooks (1950s); and circulars from the provincial organization and from District 6 - Lamont (1954-1958).
