Biographical history

The Eighteenth Century Studies Group was established in 1989 with an objective to arrange a regular program of papers by scholars in the field of eighteenth century studies, to encourage research in the field and to serve as resource to graduate students. In 1991, the Group was run by a committee consisting of R.H. Carnie, S.B. Drury, M. Epstein, and M.S. Staum. A.P.F. Sell was Chair at the time; J.S. Martin assumed this responsibility in 1992.
