Biographical history

E & P Salers Ranches, a purebred cattle operation just south of Calgary, Alberta, was owned by Phil Tetrault and managed by Randy Mader. The ranch specialized in the Salers breed of cattle, and imported its first full-blood Salers from France in 1973. In 1982 Tetrault and Mader pioneered in the export of frozen cattle embryos. The ranch held major livestock sales in 1983, 1984 and 1986.
