Jack Diamond established his practice as A.J Diamond Architect in 1965. In 1969 Barton Myers joined the firm and the two practiced together as Diamond and Myers until 1975. A.J Diamond and Associates was formed when Diamond established his own firm in 1975.
In 1978 Donald Schmitt joined the A.J Diamond and Associates firm, which in 1983, when Schmitt became partner changed names to A.J Diamond and Partners. The practice changed names again in 1990 to become A.J Diamond, Donald Schmitt and Company. Today the practice is known as Diamond and Schmitt Architects Incorporated. Significant projects include: National Ballet School, Toronto; Jessie's Centre for Teenagers, Toronto; Earth Science Centre, University of Toronto; York University Student Centre, Toronto; Four Seasons Hotels, Don Mills; St. Michael?s College Lands Development, Toronto; Jerusalem City Hall, Jerusalem.
