Fonds consists of general administrative files including minutes, financial records and correspondence; Graduate Students' Teaching Assistant schedules (1966); Guides for Graduate Students (1970-1974); course descriptions, examination regulations, timetables, correspondence on the types of courses instructors preferred to teach (1973-1989); course outlines (1995-2001); Graduate Executive Committee minutes and correspondence (1966-1989); correspondence of I. Adam, Chair of the Textbook Committee and minutes of the Department of English Committee (1965-1970, 1977-1984); pamphlets; and copies of the publication "Uhuru Un". Also includes records relating to the Conference on the Canadian Novel including blank ballots for the Selection of Canadian Novels, the Ballot result list, correspondence, newsclippings, budgets, a bound volume of edited transcripts from the panels, two prints advertising the conference and audiovisual material from the panel discussions (1978).
