History

Printing establishment in Banff, Alberta run by editor William (Billy) H. Kidner and Victor W.R.B. Ball who also operated short-lived Banff Printing Presses. Crag & Canyon, Banff produced textual ephemera such as postcard images of the Rockies and menus for Sulphur Mountain Tea Room, amongst others. Kidner learned the printing trade with Bristol Mercury and came to Canada in 1903. In 1929 he returned to Calgary and worked at the Calgary, Herald until his retirement in 1930. Not to be confused with the Banff Crag & Canyon newspaper.
