The collection was compiled by the Coyote Flats Historical Society while writing the second volume of Coyote Flats Historical Review : 1925-1975, 50 Years of Progress.
Coyote Flats refers to a triangular area of land covering the towns and villages of Picture Butte, Turin, Shaughnessy, Barhill and Iron Springs.
