Biographical history
Alfred Saunders Chapman, 1872-1959, was born in England and later moved to Calgary where he became City Engineer. He married Beatrice Mabel Tregillus, 1869-1954, sister of Calgary businessman William Tregillus. In 1940 Alfred and Beatrice retired to Victoria, British Columbia. They had two children, Howard, who moved to Illinois, and Phyllis (Clarke, later Ford) who remained in Calgary.
