Biographical history

John Burnham "Burnie" Toft, 1910-2003, was born in England and moved to Calgary, Alberta in 1946. He was a lover of the outdoors and spent decades hiking and photographing the Rocky Mountains with his wife Marjorie Kathryne (nee Kerslake), 1915-2009. They were among the founders of the Calgary Colour Photo Club. They had two children, Murray and Heather.
