History

This collection was compiled by Charles Randolph Bunn, 1886-1964, a Red Deer physician, while researching the history of the Red River Settlement Bunn family. Both he and his father, John Robert Bunn, 1856-1932, were born in Winnipeg. Dr. Bunn corresponded with many institutions and individuals to gather information about his ancestors. He also acquired a variety of Red River documents which share as their common denominator the inclusion of the Bunn family name.
