Name of creator
Willoughby Charles Bryan, 1865-1947, was a member of the North-West Mounted Police (NWMP) from 1888 to 1908, and the Commissioner of the Alberta Provincial Police (APP). His son, Willoughby "Bill" Charles, Jr., 1892-1973, was born in Fort Macleod, Alberta and fought as a captain in First World War with the 191st Battalion and the 31st Battalion, CEF. In 1920 Bill settled in Banff and worked as a pharmacist for over 40 years. He and his wife, Jennie, had at least four children, Loretta (Milsted), Dorothy (MacDonald), Willoughby Charles, 1914-2008, and Charles. A Bryan relative, Sergeant G.N. Bryan, fought in the Second World War with the Royal Canadian Air Force. For further information see Ronald J.
