Fonds has rolled drawings, textual records, photographs, and panels from the architectural practice of Barry Johns. Projects date from 1968 to 2007 and include art galleries, university buildings, residences, recreational buildings, churches, municipal buildings, and court houses in Alberta, British Columbia, and Nova Scotia.
The University of Calgary fulfills requests for materials in our collections in accordance with Canadian copyright laws. The University of Calgary holds the copyright for materials in the Barry Johns fonds created by Barry Johns prior to February 1981 and Barry Johns Architects prior to February 1998. In addition to providing materials for individual study and research purposes under fair dealing and library exceptions in the Canadian Copyright Act, the University of Calgary may, upon request, authorize the use of Barry Johns materials for other purposes, such as exhibition and publication. Patrons are responsible for ensuring they use copyright-protected works in accordance with applicable laws.
