Columns missing for May 21 and December 3; no column published February 5. Columns contain book reviews of John Edward Belliveau's The splendid life of Albert Smith and the women he left behind (March 19); George Jonas and Barbara Amiel's By persons unknown (June 11); Roger O'Toole's The precipitous path (July 16); William M. Baker's Timothy Warren Anglin, 1822-96 (September 10); Heather Robertson's A terrible beauty (October 29); and J. V. Andrew's Bilingual today, French tomorrow (November 5). Scrapbook also contains newsclippings of several letters to the editor from readers in response to columns, article mentioning A. Nowlan and miscellaneous news articles. Includes duplicates of several columns. Most newsclippings have only holograph annotations of dates of publication, which have not been verified.
