Levi Siebert was born in South Easthope Township, Perth County, Ontario. He was an early resident of Siebertville, Alberta, east of Carstairs. Levi married Elizabeth Tracksell (1875-1957) and had two children, Ivan Leslei (1897-1910) and Violet (Hansen) (1899-?)

Vera Swanson was the daughter of Archdeacon Cecil Swanson and his wife Enid. Vera was born in Dawson City, Yukon, where her father was an Anglican missionary. The family lived in various places in British Columbia and Alberta before settling in Calgary. Vera married Chester Burns in 1944. She worked in the Canadian Pacific Railway Ogden Shops during the Second World War and in the 1950s joined the Glenbow Foundation. Later Vera worked at Heritage Park as an historian. She had one daughter, Carol Kittleson.

Stirling, Holmes family

Phyllis Mary Holmes (1913-2008) was born at Fenner, Alberta, the daughter of Frank and Annie Jeannie Reeves Holmes (?-1921). The Holmes later moved to Huxley, then Elnora. Phyllis moved to England beginning in 1926 to care for her grandmother and remained until after the Second World War during which she worked as a truck driver. She met and married a Canadian solder, Mr. Stirling, and they returned to Canada, first to Huxley, then to Calgary, Edmonton, and finally Ponoka, Alberta.

Luxford, Frederick Charles

Frederick Charles Luxford was born in Maidstone, Kent, England and came to Canada about 1910. He worded as a commercial traveller. Luxford enlisted in 1914 and went to FRance in 1915 as part of the Canadian Divisional Cyclists Corps. He was wounded at the Somme and returned to Canada in 1917. He served in the Royal Canadian Air Force in the Second World War. Luxford died in Winnipeg.

Jorgen Rueskov Nielsen was born in Denmark and served in the Danish military. He immigrated to Canada in 1950 through a farm labour initiative organized by Canadian Pacific Railway. He married Freda and had two children, Hans and Elizabeth.

Honens, W. Harold

W. Harold Honens was born in Rock Rapids, Iowa and moved to Alberta with his family in 1904 where his father sold land for the Canadian Pacific Railway. He attended Stanford University and served in the French Foreign Legion during the First World War. Harold worked as a rancher and businessman on his return. He first married Gwyneth (?-1974) and secondly Esther Smith (1903-1992). He had one daughter Betty (Selby). His wife Esther founded the Esther Honens Piano Competition.

Davies, Ithel

Ithel Davies was born in Portmadog, Wales on October 30, 1885. Prior to the outbreak of World War One, Davies worked in the family business, Davies Brothers Slate Merchants. During the war, Davies served in various units of the British Expeditionary Force including the 87th Field Ambulance and the 1st Field Survey Company Royal Engineers. Davies began the war as a private and was steadily promoted; he achieved the rank of Lieutenant in the summer of 1918. Following the war Davies returned to Portmadog and the family slate business. He had four children. Ithel Davies died on January 20, 1976.
