YWCA of Calgary Alumnae

In 1983, several Calgary, Alberta women founded the first YWCA alumnae association in Canada, bringing together former staff, board members and volunteers who wanted to offer continuing support as ambassadors for the YWCA of Calgary in the larger community. Over the years the alumnae have assisted the Young Women's Christian Association with several key projects, including the collection of furniture donations for YWCA Mary Dover House supportive housing program and YWCA Sheriff King Home emergency shelter, fundraising for the building improvement fund and a bursary for single mothers to attend university. The group disbanded in 2016.
